A number of Buick models come with a built-in Amazon Alexa feature, which conveniently brings Alexa capabilities on the road. Recently, Buick and Amazon expanded their partnership by teaming up on a new ad campaign.
A Match Made In Heaven
From late August to mid-September, Buick and Amazon ran advertisements detailing their collaboration on streaming services, broadcast TV, online video sites and social media platforms. Buick and Amazon elected to have more lighthearted and enjoyable ads to show that they are fun brands.
Buick Advertising/Media Operations Manager Kate Hrabovsky said in a recent interview with Marketing Daily, “Getting people to think differently about Buick is a motivation behind everything we do. We are a brand that’s not afraid to take risks and have some fun.”
Alexa Knows Buick
In addition, an Amazon-dedicated virtual showroom gave drivers the chance to better familiarize themselves with the brands. Buick was also the first automaker to receive a custom utterance for Alexa. By simply saying, “Alexa, tell me about Buick SUVs,” you can learn more about the vehicles in the Buick lineup, including the new Alexa-compatible 2021 Envision.
