Buick recently announced an industry-first partnership with media company Hello Sunshine. This team-up will see Buick drivers given access to a specially curated selection of audiobooks, podcasts, and more.
Founded by actress and activist Reese Witherspoon, Hello Sunshine is a company that shares and celebrates women-centric stories around the world. Witherspoon’s popular “Reese’s Book Club” is a collection of books and stories that focus on women and women’s issues. Thanks to its partnership with Buick, Hello Sunshine will now be able to share those stories via integration into the latest Buick vehicles.
Reese’s Book Club will be able to be accessed through an in-vehicle touch screen, giving drivers access to each of the podcasts and audiobooks included in the club.
With nearly 55 percent of Buick drivers being women, the automaker is looking to build on that base and find more ways to appeal to female vehicle buyers. “Hello Sunshine shines a light on women, creating and telling stories that put women at the center, and that’s something Buick wants to be a part of,” said Buick’s advertising and media operations manager, Kate Hrabovsky. “As more women are making vehicle-buying decisions, we want to be thinking creatively about how to offer more driving experiences tailored for them.”
Hello Sunshine’s integrated app is currently available in the 2021 Buick Encore GX, with more vehicles set to receive the feature in 2021. Test drive the new Encore GX and other impressive vehicles at West Point Buick GMC in Houston, Texas, today.
